Missouri, the Show Me State

While we did not really stop in Missouri, we did get to experience its beauty and sights from behind the wheel of the Integra.  It took a long time to get through this large state.

We were so close to Nebraska that we could not help but cross over the Missouri River on this bridge and see the Cornhusker state.

So this is where Arbor day comes from.

Kansas City lies both in Missouri and Kansas.  Hey, why not cross over into Kansas too?

From the highway, you can see into the Kansas City Royals baseball stadium.  A smart fan would "accidentally" break down on the highway during the big games.

We got off to get a closer look.

Since january, we have driven the 1990 Integra "Swamper" 10,000 miles.  Rich began to get a little nervous towards the end.  Here he is checking the oil.

We stopped in St. Louis to see the famous Arch.  The Arch signifies the westward exploration and settlement of the Unites States.  It was designed by Eero Saarinen, who was born in Finland and settled near Cranbrook in Michigan.

The stainless steel Arch is 630 feet (192 meters) from top to bottom and from base to base.  It was completed on October 28, 1965.

Kelly's cousin live in St. Louis.  He and his family were vacationing in Florida, otherwise they would have received a call from their nomadic cousin.

The Arch stands along Jefferson National Expansion Memorial which was created in 1935 to commemorate the westward expansion of the United States.

St. Louis is also home to Anheuser-Busch.  You can take a brewery factory tour.

After leaving Missouri, we drove through Arkansas and into Tennessee to see Elvis' house.

And now continue with us to see the King at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee.
